Covid-19 Infection Control Protocol

Your health and safety is my number one priority! Please take a moment to look over my Covid-19 Infection Control Protocol. While massage does not allow for social distancing, I am dedicated to making sure the air you breathe and the surfaces you touch are as clean as possible.

Equipment Hygiene

We will begin each day by checking our temperature. Before every client arrives we dress the massage table with fresh, clean sheets that have been thoroughly washed with unscented, Eco-friendly detergent and dried without softeners. The face cradle is thoroughly cleaned prior to covering with two protective layers. Pillows and heated pillows are protected by covers and washed after each use. All disinfectants we use are EPA Covid-19 certified and will be used in between sessions to wipe down door knobs, surfaces, used pens, and massage room. Reception area, restroom and massage room are cleaned daily, and freshened prior to each client’s arrival.

I am very pleased to announce that as of the beginning of July 2020, we have been using a Vollara Air & Surface Pro (Non-Ozone) device which is equipped with cutting edge, exclusive, award-winning ActivePure Technology that safely eliminates nearly 100% of airborne and surface bacteria, viruses, mold, fungus and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). At this time, masks are recommended by the CDC. As therapists we will be wearing one during your session, though you are not required, especially if you have a health condition that stresses your ability to breathe. If you do not have a mask, and would feel more comfortable wearing one, a disposable one will be provided for you. We appreciate you working with us in this endeavor. Let’s do the best we can in preventing the spread of this virus.

If you develop symptoms of Covid-19, please contact me and let me know so we can reschedule. Anyone who develops symptoms must wait until symptoms have been gone for 72 hours, and if you have been in close contact with someone who has recently been diagnosed with Covid-19 or has a cough or fever, please wait for a period of 14 days before scheduling and keep an eye on whether you have developed symptoms. If you receive a massage from me and then develop symptoms or test positive for Covid-19 within a 14 day period after our session, please let me know. Below you will find a list of some of the symptoms to watch out for:

  • Shortness of breath
  • Cough or sore throat
  • Fever or chills
  • Loss in taste or smell
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Note: I will never charge you for a session if you cancel because you have symptoms or have tested positive for Covid-19.
